The 2024 regatta season was a complete success for the Wendel & Rados sails. Our teams have shown in various regattas that Wendel & Rados sails at the top. We proudly look back on numerous victories and great performances that have brought us to the top of local regatta sport this year.
Triumph at the 26th Hanse Cup 2024
We are delighted that the sails of Wendel & Rados were successful in all groups of this year’s Hanse Cup, organised by the HVG.
The regatta teams around the Hanse 370 ‘Relax deLuxe’ (group Hanse 370-470), Hanse 291 ‘Medea’ (group Hanse 291- 355) and Dehler 31 ‘Casita’ (group Dehler 29-44) have won all four daily victories in their respective groups and thus also won the overall ranking. We are particularly proud of the overall victory of the Hanse 291 ‘Medea’ for the ‘fastest calculated time over all’.
We are incredibly proud of our colleagues who were so successful with W&R Sailing and congratulate all the other winners. As co-sponsor of the event, we are delighted that it was once again a great success and are already looking forward to next year!
Victory at the 52nd Greifswald Bodden stages
The team from ‘Relax deLuxe’ also shone at the 52nd Greifswald Bodden Stages. The Hanse 370 triumphed in the IBSS1 class and successfully prevailed against the strong competition. The challenging weather conditions with gusts of up to 35 knots could not stop the crew – on the contrary, they mastered the stages with flying colours. The route led from Lubmin via Lauterbach to Greifswald and ended with a fitting victory, which was honoured with a trophy in the evening.
Title defence at the traditional ‘Rund Stubber’ regatta
Another highlight of the season was the successful defence of the title by ‘Relax deLuxe’ at the traditional ‘Rund Stubber’ regatta. In perfect sailing conditions with gusts of up to 25 knots, the crew left all 31 competitors behind and once again secured the huge trophy. The success was honoured and duly celebrated in a festive atmosphere in the evening.
A sailing season full of successes
The 2024 regatta season was a great success for Wendel & Rados. Our sails have shown what they and the sails of Wendel & Rados are capable of. The results make us proud and make us look forward to the coming season with great anticipation.
