The WENDEL & RADOS sail loft is one of the most modern in Germany. All types of sails and canopies for a wide range of requirements are manufactured, repaired and customised for a wide range of requirements in the 500 square metre sailmaking workshop. 20 employees are on hand to help and advise customers and produce well over 100 sails per year, covering an area of 2500 square metres. Yacht and Cruising Sails
Whether Dacron sails in horizontal cut, laminate sails in triradial cut or EPEX membrane sails from Elvstrøm - with the sailmakers at WENDEL & RADOS you get customised sails from professionals. We develop and manufacture customised sails for all types of sailing yachts based on your ideas. High-performance symmetrical and asymmetrical headsails are also available from WENDEL & RADOS. We only use fabrics of the highest quality standard from Contender and Dimension Polyant.
Regatta Sails
Regatta sails from WENDEL & RADOS are successfully sailed in all types of races. For maximum precision in sail production, we use Prosail computer software and a specially designed plotter/cutter. We work closely with you to develop a sail design tailored to your needs and select the right material.
Dinghy Sails
Dinghy sails from WENDEL & RADOS impress with maximum performance and durability. With the help of the latest Prosail software and a specially developed plotter/cutter, we guarantee maximum precision in production. Sprayhoods, Maindrops & Covers
WENDEL & RADOS manufactures various models of sprayhoods according to your wishes. We use high-quality tarpaulin cloth from the Yachtmaster brand. After making the brackets, either in seawater-resistant aluminium tube or AISI316 (V4A) stainless steel tube, a 1:1 sample is taken on board. This is then transferred to the fabric in the workshop and precisely fitted to the yacht after production. High-quality fittings ensure long-lasting enjoyment of the respective canopies.
Full tarpaulins
We manufacture customised full tarpaulins for the cold season or as protection against the weather. After taking detailed measurements, we produce a sample and select the right material according to your requirements. This guarantees a perfect fit and allows us to incorporate additional details such as ventilation slits.
Biminis & sun awnings
Biminis are the means of choice for protection from the sun. Here, too, we take measurements on your yacht and manufacture a customised canopy according to your wishes. Do you have special ideas such as a side screen? Talk to us and we will find a customised solution!
Cockpit Tents
Cockpit tents offer ideal protection from the cold, wet or wind and are carefully handcrafted by us to fit perfectly. To do this, we first take measurements, create a sample and are happy to work in details such as additional windows, zips or pockets at your request. We are also happy to install the garments personally on site so that everything fits perfectly!
Motorboat Covers
For motorboats of all kinds, we manufacture covers, e.g. for sun loungers, cushions or instruments, as well as individual covers for flybridges or protective harbour tarpaulins, canopies or classic cake stands.
