We offer an apprenticeship as a sailmaker (m/f/d)
The job as a sailmaker
Sailmakers make sails and canopies for sailing and motorboats as well as sun protection systems for hotels, catering establishments and others. This profession involves both computer-aided and manual work in order to achieve a high degree of accuracy when cutting the materials. The cuts made on the plotter are sewn together using special sewing machines and finished by hand. Sailmakers
process heavy materials such as sailcloth and coated fabrics, including synthetic or ultra-light high-tech materials, for example for the spinnakers of cruising and racing yachts.
The apprenticeship
The apprenticeship lasts 3 years, but can be shortened. Training takes place at the company's site in Greifswald. The school lessons take place in Travemünde as a block event - accommodation is possible in the boarding school. Boarding school costs including meals, training costs and the Germany ticket will be covered.
