Insight into the craft of sailmaking or mast making
Are you enthusiastic about the craft and would like to experience how sails and tarpaulins are made? Or are you interested in rigging technology and mast building? Then an internship is just the thing for you!
Sailmaking: What can you expect?
During your internship, you will gain exciting insights into the traditional and modern work of a sailmaker. You will support our team with various tasks, includingr:
- Cutting and sewing sailcloth and technical fabrics
- Repairing and maintaining sails, tarpaulins and canvases
- Processing materials such as Dacron, laminate and PVC
- Use of special tools and industrial machines
- Support with customer orders and customised products
Mast building & rigging: what can you expect?
During your internship, you will gain exciting insights into the work of a mast builder. You will support our team with various tasks, including:
- Assisting with the rigging and de-rigging of sailing yachts
- Insight into the production and assembly of standing and running rigging
- Insight into and assistance with the construction of furling systems
- Assistance with repairs of all kinds
- Support with customer orders and customised products
